La Escopeta

La escopeta tells the story of a hunting day and the complex relationship between a father and his son. The main challenges for the art department involved working in a natural environment as unpredictable as a forest, often having to choose final locations during the shoot itself. Our interventions had to be seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings. I was also in charge of costume design, which needed to be as realistic and grounded as possible. On top of that, the film was shot in black and white — a creative constraint that required extensive testing to ensure the right contrast between characters and their environment.
